Having researched Col. Locke for over
twenty years, Dr. King has collected an interesting history of a
distant relative who was political leader in pre-war Texas and later
after receiving the call to duty from the Governor Clark, organized and
lead the 10th Texas Cavalry in many Civil War battles.
